SD 81 SW BELL LANE 6/26 Lower Chesham 26.5.76 - II* Part of large house, built in 1713 (DIARY OF RICHARD KAY). In C17 style. Coursed squared store. 3 storeys. 2 windows (but top right-hand one absent): 4-light mullioned on ground floor, 3-light above; transversed except on top storey. Blocked doorway, to left with moulded architrave surround. 2 string courses and cornice. Stone slab roof; coped gables with ball finials at angles and apex. Interior said to include amongst features of note a fine staircase and decorated plaster ceiling. Mullioned stair window has leaded lights.
