Memorial. 1831. Painted stone. Inscribed tablet with
flanking flat pilasters and entablature with wreaths in
canopy with panels supporting frieze, dentilled cornice and
blocking course. Erected to the memory of W. Huskisson,
liberal M.P. for Liverpool, killed here during the opening
celebrations of the Liverpool and Manchester railway in
1830.
