COOKSEY ROAD 1. 5104 Small Heath B10 No 48 and Newlands Centre SP 08 NE 7/27 II 2. Former Brimingham Board School circa 1890. Brick; tile roof with decorative ridge tiles. Two transverse gabled bays representing classrooms attached to a taller central spine hall. Each gable with a triplet of sash windows with cambered heads. In the gables, a similar small group with a blank lunette above. To the right, a single lower gabled bay linking with the master's house, No 48. This is 2 storeys; 3 bays, the outer ones gabled. Tall sash windows with cambered heads on both floors. Tall flanking chimney stacks.
