GARRISON LANE 1. 5104 Borderley B9 Garrison Lane Nursery School SP 08 NE 7/33 II GV 2. Birmingham Board School in Martin and Chamberlain Gothic style. C1885. Brick with cut brick and stone dressings; tile roof, 2 storeys. Ground floor with later inserted/altered pointed arched entrance flanked by 2 small windows and then 2 pairs of coupled lancets. First floor with 2 pairs and one quadruple of segment-headed windows, 2 pairs surmounted by pointed light gabled dormers. To the right a lower but still 2-storeyed wing with pointed-arched entrance with 'Boys School' in a sexfoil in the gable above. The right-hand return canted. The left-hand return, the showpiece with 4 gables and, between the third and fourth. The acutely pyramidal slated spire with louvres, lucarnes and decorative metal banding with rosettes. The screen wall with iron-coping and gates links with No 106 Garrison Lane (qv).
