Perrott Manor House
GV II
Screen walling enclosing lawn. Possibly of 1877, but one gate dated 1909. Ham stone ashlar, but balusters of artificial
stone. In form of balustrading with moulding plinth and top rail, square plan balusters set diagonally, piers with
lozenge panels, wider corners and gateways with obelisk finials. Along south-east length, towards each end, two
semi-circular plan stone seats. The whole an important part of the setting of the Manor Rouse (qv): if the work is of
1877 it represents an early use of artificial Ham stone in this area. In side walls, which are set higher, with deep
plinth walls, are gateways with wrought iron gates, one dated 1909.
