Summerhouse. Dated 1880. Probably by T.H. Wyatt, architect. Ham stone ashler; hipped conical roof with plain clay tiles
and lead capping. Octagonal plan; single-storey. Set on wide paved plinth; chamfered plinth, cill mould, cornice,
fluted Ionic pilasters to each angle, summounted by obelisk finials. North-east face has a moulded 3-centre-arched
doorway with pair of part-glazed doors, the arch having incised spandrils and keystone. To the two laces each side of
doorway are a modified type of Venetian window with raised sidelights, diamond glazed. The rear faces blank. The
building set into the angle of a 3m high stone wall. Interior has a timber boarded ceiling with stellar pattern ribs -
a very carefully detailed little building forming an important element in tis important later C19 formal garden.
