Tannery buildings and waterwheel, now garage, store house and part of Combe House Hotel (qv). Late C18, early C19,
restored mid C20. Red sandstone random rubble, rendered to right, pantiled roof. Plan: cartshed abutting store
fronted by shelter shed, waterwheel, covered way and adjoining building now part of hotel. One and one and a half
storeys, 1:3:1:2 bays, gabled dormers in to bays right, C20 casements, below central C20 window flanked by French
windows; outer bay left, segmental headed opening to cartshed abutting store fronted by 3 bay shelter shed with inner
supports, large overshot iron waterwheel inscribed 'J. Culverwell and CD, Bridgwater 1892', catslide roofed bay with
brick walls giving access to rear. Listed primarily for historic interest and group value with Combe House Hotel
(qv).
