Farmhouse. C14, further alterations of C17, further C19 work. Random rubble, dressed quoins, tile roofs, two rendered
stacks, one of brick. Irregular frontage under 3 gables of varying heights. Two storeys and attics, 1:1:1 bays, 2 and
3-light hollow-moulded stone-mullioned windows to first 2 bays from left, 9-pane sash windows in plain stone surrounds
to right bay. Door opening to left in a bead-moulded stone surround, 4 panelled door, top 2 panels glazed; pent roofed
rubble porch. Former chapel of a monastic settlement set back to left return, 2-light C20 stone-mullioned window with
leaded lights, remainder of a much larger opening now blocked. Virtually all of the C14 arch- braced collar beam roof
remains over the chapel; a squint extant in its north wall. Further early timberwork to be seen in the barn 2 metres
to rear of the farmhouse (qv) (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, August 1982).
