Small country house in an emparked landscape. Early C18; believed to be refacaded by John Wood the younger, of Bath,
late C18; some C20 addition at rear including a billiard room; also some remains of C17 work. Ashlar, hipped slate
roofs behind parapets, ashlar stacks. Classical style. Three storeys, 3-unit frontage, centre breaks forward slightly,
1:3:1 bays; centre with giant Ionic order, twin end pilasters, similar pilasters between each window, sash windows with
glazing bars in moulded architraves. Side units with panelled corner pilasters, second floor band with guilloche
decoration, tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, first floor windows with aprons, ground floor window to left
blank. Cornice and parapet to side units, cornice to centre raised higher, parapet with balustrading. Central
semi-circular head door opening, balstraded ashlar porch with 3 semi-circular head outer openings, half-glazed inner
door. Range of attached outbuildings to rear including stables; wing with evidence of some C17 remains. Interior with
late C18 staircase, ornamental plasterwork, panelling, doors and fittings. An important example of Wood's work.
