Cross. C14, restored 1908. Grey sandstone, octagonal plan, two steps, socket with bold convex broaches, square tapering
shaft with chamfered edges moulded as finials. Sculptured figure in niche on East side. Abrupt juntion with restoration
of 1908. Shaft continued with lantern top: East face, Virgin and Child; Nest face, Crucifiction; North St James the
Great and South a Bishop. Scheduled Ancient Monument (Somerset County No. 3I4), (Pooley, Old Crosses of Somerset,
1877).
