ST 66 SEA392/1Court Farmhouse-II

ST 66 SE A39 2/1 Court Farmhouse - II Farmhouse. Mid C19. Coursed rubble, freestone dressings, slate roofs with raised, coped verges. 2 storeys, 3 windows, all 6-pane sashes in freestone frame, large central porch on square columns in front of a part-glazed 6-panel door. Large, parallel rear range with segmental headed windows with 3-light casements. Home of Joseph Harding from 1863 to 1876. Harding standardised the process of making Cheddar cheese and promoted his system all over the country. (Source: Somerset Rural Life Museum, Glastonbury).
