ST 65 NW CAMELEY CAMELEY ROAD (north side)
6/3 Group of 2 Tombs, 10 metres south of
chancel, Church of St. James

2 Chest Tombs, that furthest east to the Dudden family. Late C18 and early C19.
Limestone and sandstone. The anonymous C18 tomb has slab with moulded projecting
cornice and chest with fluted pilasters at the angles and in the centre of each
side. Raised and fielded panels, inscriptions eroded. C19 Dudden tomb is neo-
classical with wreathed angle pilasters, a raised oval inscription plaque and
emblematic carvings in the upper spandrels. Inscriptions in florid script.
