LOTHERTON CUM ABERFORD MAIN STREET SE43NW LS25 (east side, off) 2/66 Hicklam Mill 6/11/86 II Tower windmill, now disused. Probably C18. Limestone blocks. Circular section, tapering in the height. Four stages including basement; on north-west side a low segmental arch for access of carts to basement, above and to the right of this a doorway to the ground-floor stage, and on the opposite side (east) a similar doorway to the 2nd stage; some small windows including little horizontal rectangular ones to the ground floor and square ones above. Top stage of rubble masonry, perhaps rebuilt. Superstructure missing. Now the only former windmill surviving in this parish.
