SJ 38 NE MILL STREET L8 7/756 Florence Institute 14.3.75. - II Built 1889 as a youth club. Terracotta,slate roof. In Jacobean style. 2 storeys with basement, 9 bays, corner turret and 3-bay return. 6 bays of 2-storey canted bay windows, with mullions and transoms and friezes over, between buttresses with ball finials. Top cornice and parapet. These bays have returns with shaped gables. Flanking bays break forward and have arcaded parapets, that to left has elliptical head, paired panelled pilasters, entablature, and rounded with hood and flanking scrolls above. Canted corner has narrow windows and octagonal top with windows of 2 round-headed lights with roundels. Top Lombard frieze and cornice. Return has 3 shaped gables. 1st 2 bays have 5-light windows with transoms with frieze between floors. End bay has window of 5 round-headed lights and blind panels.
