SJ 38 NETUNNEL ROADL77/12392 carriage rampsand tunnel

SJ 38 NE TUNNEL ROAD L7 7/1239 2 carriage ramps and tunnel - entrance. G.V. II 2 carriage ramps, extending loom from Tunnel St to Edge Hill station buildings, and entrance to original tunnel running under Tunnel St to Lime St Station (now opened out and widened). 1836. Red sandstone, rusticated. Ramps have pierced barrel vaults with round-arched entrances;11 on north side, 9 on south side, with 2 further vaults with round-headed windows and entrances, all now with iron grilles. Flat band over. Edge trill is one of the oldest railway stations still in use in the world.
