Schoolbuilding. 1915, probably by Sebastian Pugin Powell. Red brick with stone
dressings, angle buttresses, string courses at cill levels, continuous ground
floor dripmoulding. Coped parapetted gable ends and tiled roof with 2 stacks.
Free Tudor Gothic style. 2 storeys and garret. South front: 4 first floor
3-arched light windows; ground floor cross windows with arched upper lights
and returned hoodmoulds. East front: triple lancets in gable end with drip-
mould raised over central light, central first floor canopied niche with flank-
ing 2-light windows and returned hoodmoulds, 3-light ground floor window with
segmental arch and hoodmould. Entrance to west. BOE, Berkshire, p. 312;
