ST41NW MARTOCK CP CAREY'S MILL 5/140 Waterwheel house and throughway about 35 metres south west of Parret House GV II Wheelhouse and throughway, now agricultural building. Probably earlier C19. Ham stone rubble coursed; Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables, with ball finial and weathervane to south-west gable. Two storeys, 6 bays. Cast-iron windows with segmental-arched heads, some now blocked; throughway occupies the two north-east bays, with cast iron windows and doorway, all 3-centre arched, in the southern flanking wall, which has an open loft over, with an oval light on the south-west gable. The water wheel on other side of wall, in garden of Parrett House (q.v) was not accessible for inspection.
