ST GEORGE'S ROAD 1. 5406 (East Side) St George's Church TQ 1502 NE 7/262 C 2. 1868, by George Truefitt. A broad plain building of nave, with chancel and aisle on west (ritual north) side, both with apsidal ends (on corner of Church Walk). Coursed rubble with ashlar bands and steep tiled roof. Belfry with small spire in eagle between aisle and nave. Hipped narthex with central gable porch. Mostly small, single light windows.
