C12 north {.transept} window. {C1)} nave and aisles, chancel arch widened. Mid C14 tower, chancel and south aisle rebuilt. C15 clerestorey and south porch. Flint and stone, slate and lead roofs. Mediaeval parish {church} of Chesham. Latin {+} cross plan with tower over {crossing,} clerestorey to nave, south porch C15. Considerably restored 1868-9 by G G Scott. Glass in 2 small windows by {Burne-Jones.} Several monuments of interest: to John Cavendish, {1617;} to Nicholas Skottowe by John Bacon, 1792; with obelisk in south transept, to Mary {blhichcote,} 1726.
