1. 823 BATHWICK HILL (North Side) Bathwick Grange (formerly "Montebello") ST 76 SE 4/522 II 2. Large Italianate villa built by H E Goodridge for himself. South elevation: 2 storey plus attic storey, 3 storey half-octagonal tower, balustraded parapets to tower and attic storey. 2 windows with louvred shutters to 1st floor, 3 window canted bay to ground floor, right hand, square-headed openings. Above each opening is a round-headed blind arch with moulded surround and keystone. Central door opening with arched fanlight, portico with flat entablature on Tuscan columns. 3 window West elevation with ground floor windows in round-headed arcaded recesses. Balcony with pierced stone balustrade to 1st floor. Tall, thin, campanile tower to left hand, open top stage with round headed arches, shallow hipped roof, wide eaves on heavy cut-stone brackets. Chimneys with moulded caps on heavy cut brackets.
