1. GAY STREET 823 (West Side) Nos 2 to 17 (consec) ST 7465 SE 14/150 12.6.50. I 2. 3 storeys and mansard. Plain cornice and parapet. 3 windows. 1st floor windows have cornices and all have architraves. Doorways have plain architraves. Nos 9 and 10 have doorways with Ionic 3 quarter columns. Nos 13 and 16 have pediments over doors. No 16 has only 2 windows. No 17 has 4 windows. No 8 has decoration later than the house consisting of 4 Corinthian pilasters on ground and 1st floors. 1st floor 3 windows with balustrade and pediment. The famous Mrs Piozzi lived in this house 1781.
