1. GAY STREET 823 (East Side) No 41 ST 7465 SE 14/83 12.6.50. I 2. Completed same time as Queen Square and included in Wood's plan l735. Corner house with 3 storey bay on corner. Ground floor window has rusticated blocks intersecting the architrave and below are close balustrades. 1st floor has Venetian window with coupled Ionic columns, each side of central light and coupled columns and pilasters outside sides all with rusticated blocks. Plain top storey. Bay crowned with dentil cornice, plain parapet and 3 vases. Young Wood lived here (born 1727 died 1781). Fine interior. Extraordinary plan.
