1. PULTENEY BRIDGE 823 Pulteney Bridge & shops Nos 1 to 8 (consec) on North side & Nos 9 to 17 (consec) on South side ST 7564 NW 19/125 14.7.55. I 2. Built by Robert Adam in 1770. Working drawings preserved in Soane Museum. 3 high segmental arches of equal span cross river from abutments which stand forward into water. Above is plinth on upper moulding of which stands the Doric order and which serves as sill for windows throughout. Entablature has continuously fluted frieze and central pediment. A.M.
