1. ROYAL CRESCENT 823 12.6.50. Nos 1 to 7 (consec) 14.7.55. No 8 12.6.50. Nos 9 to 30 (consec) ST 7465 SW 13/302 ST 7465 SE 14/302 I 2. Architect John Wood (younger). 1767-1775. Palladian style. 3 storeys, 3 or 4 windows. Plain basement storey. Large Ionic order rising through 2 storeys. Columns 2 feet 6 inches diameter. 114 in all. Entablature 5 feet deep. Total height 47 feet. Parapet with open balustrade. Ellipse in plan. Central house has 2 sets of coupled columns. Masonry between columns in set square. Interiors. Fine plaster work, fireplaces, etc. The roadway fronting the whole length of the crescent retains its original stone setts. See also Crescent Lane.
