1. THE AVENUE 823 (East Side) C0MBE DOWN Nos 3 to 5 (consec) ST 7562 37/978 Avenue Place II GV 2. Mid to late Cl8 and early C19. 2 storey small houses, ashlar and rangework - No 2 painted. Gable end pantile roofs with copings. Probably built as masons cottages. No 3 retains stone barrel vault to lst floor rooms. No 3 has 2 paired sash windows, one blind on 1st floor. Nos 4 and 5 of one window each. No 4 has small mid C19 rouble projecting shop front, pilaster frame and fascia with corner brackets shaped to cornice. Joint doorways to Nos 3 and 4 with flat hood on cut shaped stone brackets, doubled to centre. No 3 retains 6 panel door. Included for group interest. Nos 3 to 5 (consec) Avenue Place form a group.
