1. CHURCH ROAD 823 COMBE DOWN Union Chapel ST 7662 38/1128 II GV 2. Dated 1815 but with later C19 alterations and additions. Ashlar plain gabled original block with moulded cornice across. One round-headed window set above centre. Tall segmental arched windows flanking central enclosed ashlar porch. This has flanking strips to front, deep frieze, moulded cornice and blocking course curve up over centre break. Double panelled doors. Gabled extension to east with built out ground floor - 2 camber arched sashes and door of 6 flush panels with semi-circular fanlight. Rear elevation has two 2 light pointed windows and small rose: later C19. Included for group interest. No 109, the Union Chapel and Nos 113 to 117 (odd) form a group.
