1. KINGSMEAD SQUARE 823 (North Side) Nos 16 and 17 ST 7464 NE 18/1336 II GV 2. Tall later C18 ashlar block in which No 16 has 5 storeys divided by plat bands, whilst No 17 is of 4 storeys - same overall height however with pulvinated bed to coved cornice and a low parapet. No 16 has 2 windows to upper floors, No 17 has 3 sashes in shallow chamfered reveals. No 16 has small rectangular bay shop window with fascia and cornice and glazing bar window to left hand - above modern door remains of stone bracketed hood. No 17 has mid C19 panelled pilaster shop front - deep fascia and cornice. No 17 includes a small 1 storey pilastered shop, No 2 Monmouth Street. Nos 15 to 18 (consec) form a group with Nos 37 and 38 Kingsmead Street.
