1. STUART PLACE 823 Premises occupied by Walters Engineering Ltd ST 7364 35/1625 II 2. Circa 1842 by Manners. Former Twerton Gaol. Ashlar classical building. 3 storeys with horizontally grooved ground floor and upper floors. Plat band. Upper floors articulated by Doric pilasters, paired to corners. Blind bays flank 3 window centre break to north front. Block brackets to cornice with blocking course. Glazing bar sashes, eared architraves with keys. Recessed tripartite central entrance, with steps up over basement, large block consoles flanking and dividing. 3 bay similar east and west fronts.
