Garden eye-catcher and viewpoint in form of a small temple.
Late C18. Portico of 4 stone columns with clustered shafts and
acanthus leaf capitals, (probably an example of the British
Order), supporting wooden entablature with pediment. Attached
column on left and right returns, the building enclosed on E
side. Plain rendered rear wall with pediment over, cornice
continues round sides. Clearly visible on the hillside from
the front of Temple Newsam House.
