1. 1425 HIGH STREET (West Side) ----------- No 28 (National Westminster Bank) SJ 6552 1/95 II GV 2. Circa 1900. Baroque style. Red brick with stone dressings; 3 storeys; 4 sash windows (no glazing bars) in panelled stone surrounds with arched pediments on consoles; moulded bands. Modern but sympathetic stone bank front with Ionic ½ column pilasters. Dentilled wood eaves cornice with elaborate foliated brackets. Nos 12, l6 and 18A, 18, 20, 20A and Nos 22 to 28 (even) form a group.
