7/114 Summerhouse in garden
at Five Trees
II
Summerhouse, now garden store. Probably C19. Rubble stone with
smooth stone dressings, Cotswold stone slate roof. Small circular
structure with conical sprocketed roof and flat stone chimney
cowl. Pointed arch doorway to north with plain architrave and
shaped panelled and half glazed door. 3 windows at compass points
with pointed arch and hoodmould immediately adjacent to plain
architrave. Some glazing remaining, probably of C19.
Interior: walls and ceiling plastered. 3 additional pointed arch
niches and small stone fireplace to south west with flue extract in
top of roof. No religious symbols remaining but reputed to be a
former Huguenot Chapel.
