Late C15. Timber frame and plaster. 2 storeys, the upper originally coved and over-hanging on curved brackets. Gables on either side with enriched bargeboards. Restored. 4/light moulded mullion transom wood windows with modern leaded glazing below side gables, and modified 12-light similar window in centre. Moulded wood 3-centre arch to courtyard with trailing vine in spandrils (Tudor flower on obverse side). Ground floor, 6 multi- light mullion transom leaded casements. Gothic detail and timbers generally very good and the house, preserving the medieval arrangements with screened entrance at side of passageway is an important example of its type, probably a late guest house of the Franciscan friary. Acquired by the Worcester Archaeological Society and now restored. See 'The Greyfriars, Worcester, the house and its restoration' 1951. National Trust Property. N.M.R. photographs. A.M.
