Post mill. Early C19, probably built by Robert Summers, re-erected and
restored 1971. Timber-frame, weatherboarded, on a brick base. The base is
a truncated cone enclosing the wooden support for the buck. Entrances to
base have segmental heads. Tail pole incorporates steps to the buck, which
has one floor inside. Sails: one pair of spring sails, one pair of canvas
sails. Most of the machinery inside is original, including the brake wheel.
The mill was brought from Danzey Green, Warwickshire (SP 129693) in 1969.
