Windmill tower. Late C18 - early C19. Tarred brick. Tapered round tower
of 5 storeys. Entrances to north-east and south-east with C20 rebuilt
square heads; pair of windows to ground floor. 4 windows to first floor.
2 windows each, to north-east and south-west sides of upper floors. Doors
and windows in line to each side. Windows have sandstone sills beneath
segmental header arches, some damaged; most window frames missing. Toothed
iron kerb. Interior. Main timbers of first and second floors survive, with
one set of stones in situ on first floor. Shaped cast-iron support to
first-floor beam. Formerly had 3 sets of stones. Derelict at time of
resurvey.
