SJ 3490 NW CHEAPSIDE SJ 3490 NE Ll 48/262 Main Bridewell 49/262 - G.V. II Prison, now Police Station. 1860-4. J. Weightman. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof. 4 storeys and 11 bays with flanking recessed blank bays. Projecting ground floor with round-headed windows and cornice. Above this, central 3 bays project under pediment. Windows to left have been elongated. Top frieze and cornice. Front wall has rusticated stone gate piers and round arched entrance with rusticated architrave, 2 lunettes over. Long range to rear with truncated chimney.
