II
Farmhouse. Possibly C15, altered early C17 and first floor rebuilt in later
C19. Coursed rubble with dressings; Welsh slate roof and dressed stone chimneys.
2 storeys, 3 windows. Roughly-squared quoins on ground floor; tooled-and-
margined quoins above. 4 openings with damaged double-chamfered surrounds on
ground floor; central heightened doorway (lintel has sunk shield with illegible
lettering); single-light and 2-light window (with mullion removed) under long
dripmould at left; similar 2-light window at right, all with replaced casements.
Identical casements in flush surrounds with alternating jambs above. Low-
pitched roof with coped gables. C19 end stacks with top bands. C19 outshut of
2 builds on rear. Interior: 1.75-metre thick gable end walls and 1.0-metre
thick front wall on ground floor. Massive partly-blocked fireplaces on gable
ends. Ground-floor room at left has adzed ceiling beams of heavy scantling.
Farmbuildings on left return are not of special interest.
