Anglican Church. 1843 by Richard Carver. Coursed and squared rubble, pilaster buttresses, Lombard frieze, slate roof,
coped verges, gabled ashlar bellcote. Nave, transepts, chancel with vestry. Neo-Norman. Nave of 2 bays, tall and narrow
semi-circular head windows, nook shafts, hood moulds with foliate stops; similar triple-light window to west end.
Transepts in conforming style of a single bay. Chancel with large 3-light east window in style of c1200. Semi-circular
head west doorway, 3 orders of shafts; vestry with well modelled neo-Norman doorway with chevron ornament. Interior
plastered under arch braced roof; broad semi-circular head transept and chancel arches. Mid-late C19 fittings including
pews, font, pulpit, reredos, altar rails and stained glass. (Colvin H M, Biographical Dictionary of British Architects,
