Built in connection with Avon Navigation Scheme. Dated 1726. Three storeys,
rendered, pantile roof with brick end chimneys and modern coped verges.
Five windows, glazing bar sashes in flush frames, ground floor windows
altered with cambered heads. Plain weathered strings over 1st and ground
floors (latter raised over window heads). Central half-glazed door with
transom light and gabled lattice porch. Stair turret to rear. Two obscured
freestone tablets flanking doorway lettered "CWS" and "1726".
Interior: a little residual panelling in ground floor rooms and to cupboard
below stairs. Stairs have splat balusters, replaced on ground and first
floors.
