bridge, and apron weir

Canal lock No 63, apron weir and bridge on Kennet and Avon Canal.
c1800. Lock brick with stone copings. Timber gates. Upper gates
with ground paddles, inset ladder in lock. Lower gates with gear
for gate paddles. Both gates restored 1980. Accommodation bridge
below lower gate, bullnosed 330 mm brick ring haunch. Two courses
string and part blue courses. Flush round brick coping, the bridge
splayed on plan. On bridge 4 filled spun concrete rings set as
tank obstacles.
