BRISTOL ST316071 BATH ROAD, Brislington 901-1/47/438 (South side) 04/03/77 Tomb of Raja Rammohun Roy Bahadoor, Arno's Vale Cemetery GV II* Tomb. 1843. Commemorates Raja Rammohun Roy Bahadoor. Erected to designs of William Prinsep. Limestone ashlar. Cruciform plan. Open temple in a Romantic Indian manner, a high ashlar plinth with 12 decorated columns on the corners supporting a flat roof, with 4 pendentives about the capitals; tall, square, pointed dome above, with pinnacles on the top and to the corners, and stone leaves to the sides. Inscribed rectangular block within. Raja Rammohun Roy Bahadoor, d.1833, was a noted Hindu reformer.
