BRISTOL ST5772NW DOWRY SQUARE, Hotwells 901-1/14/1433 Plinth and railings around Dowry Square gardens GV II Plinth and railings. Mid C18. Cast copper-slag blocks and wrought-iron. Moulded coping-stone plinth with spear-headed railings. Dowry Square was laid out in 1720 by George Tully, and building continued until 1750. The use of slag blocks as a plinth is very uncommon.
