1889, by C E Davis. Comprises a southward extension to the Grand Pump Room
(in which some remains of the C17 Queen's Bath are merged). Radiused South-
west corner and return elevation along York Street have Ionic pilasters
through lower floors and attic storey with leaded windows in moulded
architraves, dentilled cornice, blocking course with urns, fluted
pilasters between windows. Attic storey is continued, with similar
treatment, over the South colonnade. An elliptical-arched "bridge" with
central pediment and urns spans York Street to the City Laundry. North
elevation of laundry and part of return elevation to Swallow Street
have similar treatment to South elevation of Museum.
