Gates, piers, and railings. 1851 to design by H E Kendall. Wrought iron
gates and railings and Portland limestone piers and dwarf wall. Two stage
gates with crested overthrow of interlace initials, coronets, scroll and
acanthus leaf work. Piers have panelled sides and responds, with entablature
surmounted by supporters with shields of arms of the Earls of Hardwicke.
Flanking quadrants each of three bays and two half bays divided by a stone
pier. The return wall to the street is made of Hitch bricks.
