River Lune at Crook of Lune

Former railway bridge, c.1880 for Midland Railway. Piers and abutments of
rock-faced sandstone blocks, with iron arches and with timber beams
supporting the deck. 5 segmental iron arches with iron roundels in
spandrels. Piers of rectangular section, rounded at base. Parapet of iron
latticework. Part of this bridge is in Caton Parish, q.v.
