Lychgate: c1902 by John Douglas. Irregularly coursed red sandstone
with ashlar dressings. York stone roof. Gabled gateway with broad
2-centred arched entrance under a label mould with a hollow chamfered
rib on a simple corbel. Similar opening with squat buttresses to the
rear. 4 ribs carry the roof. Small lights to either side are
deepened inside to form seats. It contains a pair of wooden gates
framed into 2 rectangular panels of diamond sectioned, pointed bars.
