The Bridge built in 1760 by Sir Robert Taylor and George Dance the Younger, demolished
1823 and some of the alcoves set up elsewhere. Small Portland stone structure
with fluted half-hemispherical hood in moulded architrave with scrolled keystone
and moulded impost blocks. A half-baluster on either outer flank. Inscription
commemorates the setting-up of the alcove in 1860. Exterior of tooled stone with
impost band running all around and a double stepped plinth.
