Toll bridge over River Severn. Dated 1883. Cast-iron arches
sprung from coursed and squared stone piers with angle quoins.
Piers terminate in moulded caps surmounted by cast-iron
lanterns. Roadway carried between shallow cast-iron arches,
with parapet cast in square panels with lozenge decoration.
Included for its quality and interest as an example in the
forefront of C19 engineering technology, also in a prominent
parkland setting.
