Some of the historic photographs are now on the web and can be viewed
and searched on the Viewfinder
site.
You can make a personal visit to the NMR's public search rooms in
Swindon or London.
It is advisable to telephone in advance to discuss your requirements,
as some material, particularly the vertical air photos and photographers'
collections, needs to be ordered in advance.
You can order copies of most sources. There is also a library where
you can carry out background research and helpful staff to advise.
The information can also be accessed remotely either by post, telephone
or via our website.
