Top tips

  • You don’t need to fill in all the boxes to be able to search. In some cases ‘less is more’.
  • To refine your search by location enter the ‘Place Name’ instead of ‘Postal Town’
  • Sometimes building names differ from those shown on the list descriptions. It may be helpful to use key words in the free text box.
  • Using the ‘All’ selection when using the free text box gives you a better set of results, rather than using the ‘Exact’ choice. For example a church may have been listed as St Mary’s, Saint Mary’s or Church of Saint Mary’s, using ‘All’ would pick up the variations.

Please note that the inclusion of a listed building on this website does not mean it is open to the public.
